YEAR OF THE ROOSTER
The 2017 Lambing Flat Chinese Festival, when the town marks its gold rush history and the important contribution of the Chinese in the development of Australia will be held on Saturday 25 March 2017.
The festival will feature the colourful sights, sounds and aromas of a traditional Chinese street market festival centred in Lynch Street in the Post Office block between Boorowa and Cloete Streets.
Highlights of the 2017 festival will include:
Spectacular Chinese Lion Dance performance on poles erected in front of the Post Office in Lynch Street. Performance by Australian Yau Kung Mun Dragon & Lion Dancing Group (Sydney)
Asian and International food stalls, craft and market stalls, Chinese Martial Arts, Chinese Calligraphy, and a local Schools Event
David and Eva are two talented musicians will play a wide range of Chinese music. David plays the Erhu (二胡) also known as the Chinese violin, which became popular during the Song Dynasty (960 - 1279 A.D.) He also plays the Guzheng (古爭) known also as the Chinese harp
