The 2017 Lambing Flat Chinese Festival,  marks the regions rich gold rush history and the important contribution of the Chinese in the development of Australia will be held on Saturday 25 March 2017

The 2017 Program guide to be released in early March 2017.

Highlights of the 2016 festival included:

  •  Spectacular Chinese Lion Dance performance on poles erected in front of the old Railway Station. Performance by Australian Yau Kung Mun Dragon & Lion Dancing Group (Sydney)

  • To celebrate the Year of the Monkey, Australasian Art and Stageworks will perform an excerpt from the famous Chinese classic, Monkey King – Journey to the West

  • David and Eva are two talented musicians will play a wide range of Chinese music. David plays the Erhu (二胡) also known as the Chinese violin, which became popular during the Song Dynasty (960 - 1279 A.D.) He also plays the Guzheng (古爭) known also as the Chinese harp

  • An illuminated Chinese Lion & Dragon Dance by Australian Yau Kung Mun Dragon & Lion Dancing Group (Sydney)

  • A town wide retail sale #RedSaleYoung will take place on Saturday morning with 30 businesses providing offers on items from coffees to homewares and furnishings. An offers form will be available to download here prior to the Festival.
