Dawn Marchant’s Morning Tea
It’s become quite a tradition in Young, the annual big morning tea organised by Dawn Marchant and her family to raise funds for cancer. It’s on again at 18 Wombat St on May 24 from 9am-5pm with everyone welcome.
This month Hilltops region businesses are invited to secure an advertisement in the updated Hilltops Visitor Guide. The guide has wide exposure, with copies distributed in Sydney, Canberra and NSW visitor centres, to Hilltops travellers and all residents. Quality Quilt Show
Young’s Lions Club annual quilt show promises to delight viewers with beautiful quilts of many styles, fabrics and designs to be displayed. The quilt show has been conducted for many years in the town and is firmly established as an important showcase for talented quilters across NSW. From the same people who brought us “Calendar Girls” comes the Young Theatre Company production of “The Naked Truth”. The play is said to be hilarious, while keeping to an older women theme and celebrating strength through adversity. It is all about older women who decide to join a pole dancing class. The play explores themes of illness, domestic abuse and body image. Tickets are on sale at M&M’s and the format is a meal and performance.
