Images for a new Hilltops Region promotional video has been filmed over the past week and feature some of the areas best know attractions. The three-day shoot centred on Boorowa, Harden, Jugiong and Young.
Two entrants have been confirmed already for the Cherry King and Queen Competition 2018. A warm welcome to Clare Grantham, a local teacher raising funds for Young Community Chest and Ameilia Everdell, a salesperson whose chosen charity is CanAssist.
If you are over 18, living in the Hilltops region and have a passion for your community please come and discuss your involvement in this year’s competition. More entrants are welcome.
Bookings are now open for all three activities comprising the Hilltops Food and Wine Weekend to be held from September 21 – 23.
A wine tasting and dinner at Jugiong, announcement of the 2018 Hilltops Wine Awards at Young and a long table lunch in a flowering cherry orchard are a tantalising combination for wine lovers everywhere.
Tickets at The General Store for the Jugiong and Wine award events, Young Visitor Centre is taking payment for the long table lunch. All tickets are also available online
The opening of the James White Display and more takes place at Lambing Flat Folk Museum from 2pm tomorrow.
A big day is planned, with the display opening, a DVD launch and author talk featuring Leon Isackson, writer of the White family story, “Brothers in Exile”.
An abundance of the beautiful camellia blooms will be on display again this year at the Young Uniting Church Hall.
The Young Camellia Spectacular will be held on August 24 and 25 with just $3 adult admission and free to school aged children.
Entries on Friday morning, with viewing from 2pm-5pm on Friday and 9am – 2pm Saturday with morning and afternoon tea available.
