HARDEN MURRUMBURRAH Museum

The museum operating hours may vary – due to managing Covid- 19 restrictions and the availability of their Volunteer Staff.

Please do not hesitate to give them a call – for any updates – or any specific dates you may wish to visit.

Housed within the historic 1912 two story building known as the former School of Arts building. There are exhibits including thematic displays on various topics.
Artefacts for days gone by from the mining era, railways, a chemist shop with items dating back to 1890, blacksmith forge, an olden days styled kitchen and school room.

Displays related to the history of the first Australian Light Horse and the Light Horse Units of Harden and Murrumburrah. The Kenneth William Thomas founder of TNT was born in the area and the museum houses a small exhibition in relation to TNT. there are various Photographic collections and reminders of yesteryear.
