TASTE OUR Delicious produce

Not only orchards and vineyards, but olive groves and mustard producers meant our Hilltops Region has culinary delights to tantalise every tastebud.

Each of our towns has a butcher offering local meats, but the Young butchers had a unique moment in history, winning 1st and 2nd prize for their sausages at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in the same year. You can buy free range organically grown pork beef and lamb, the delicious prize winning sausages and more, meat trimmed and prepared to your liking, and lots of local accompaniments at our butchers. Take the memories home by visiting some of the local producers such as Charlie Arnott’s Grass-fed Beef in Boorowa. The Hilltops Region is home to a number of award winning wineries. We have a rich history related to the wine industry dating back to the 1830's. Our variety of wines is quite expansive and is sure to appeal to all wine lovers. Hilltops Honey is found in many of our shops: mix some with one of the Yandilla Mustards to glaze a ham from our butchers, and serve Pitstone olives from the region with drinks before dinner. We welcome the hungry traveler to big country meals, and the discerning “foodie” to choose from the varied menus in our cafes. The Country Women’s Association has encouraged our locals to learn to bake and preserve, so there’s a great skill base for our cafes and pubs to produce scrumptious desserts and wonderful cakes and pies.
